A selection of videos from the Strange Attractors DVD will be screened at MIX: 25th New York Queer Experimental Film Festival on Friday, November 16 at 10pm. The festival is presented at Mix Factory, 339 Butler Street (between 3rd and 4th Ave) in Brooklyn, NY 11217
“The fact that this sea creature looks exactly like a rock with guts is not even the weirdest thing about it. It’s also completely immobile like a rock — it eats by sucking in water and filtering out microorganisms — and its clear blood mysteriously secretes a rare mineral called vanadium. Also, it’s born male, becomes hermaphroditic at puberty, and reproduces by tossing clouds of sperm and eggs into the surrounding water and hoping they knock together. Nature, you are CRAZY.”

On Friday, September 21st Pittsburgh Filmmakers hosted a screening/reading/reception to celebrate the official Pittsburgh release of Strange Attractors. Refreshments included Alien Peanut Butter Balls, Venusian Glow-In-The-Dark Jello Shots, Strange Attractor Color Coded Cookies, and lots of BEER!
