The Kepler mission is searching the skies for planets that are the same size as Earth, worlds that could be similar to our own. The Challenge now is to find terrestrial planets (i.e., those one half to twice the size of Earth), especially those in the habitable zone of their stars where liquid water and possible life might exist.”
